  2. Thank you,you guys saved me so much money and made me feel great because I
fixed my tv thanks again guys

  3. Incredibly helpful, thank you cause your saving us thousands of dollars
cause we don’t have to buy another TV. My TV looks amazing again and looks
like I bought a new one cause I also replaced the lamp while replacing the
    chip. Thank you again!

  4. What you really glossed over is the absolute need for a good quality “Heat
Sink Compound”. Without cleaning the heat sink and using new compound you
will be replacing this chip again and again. Heat and electronics just
don’t mix. Keep it cool, man.

  5. You really need to replace the thermal paste on the heat sink for the dlp
chip. Most of the time the paste is dry and flakes off when replacing the
chip or gets stuck to the old chip leaving none for the new chip. With out
the thremal paste the chip will over heat and brake down at a faster rate.

  6. Martin I replaced the dlp chip in my Mitsubishi 60″ TV and I plugged it in
everything was fine but when I turned it on it had huge lines all over the
place I went back in and put the old chip in to see what would happen and
now the lamp light flashes and I don’t have any picture

  7. Excellent job in putting data and info together, in every respect.
Thanks for you great work and informative clip.

  8. we followed step by step. turned on the tv and it powered down on it’s own,
we then redid every step. Will not turn on but now the yellow lamp light on
the front of the tv is blinking. we checked the lamp it appears to be
    fine….any thoughts?

  9. I found out I rebaked my chip and it seemed to work perfect as well you may
give that try too BEFORE YOU replace the chip

  10. I just want to thank you and your son for this video. You and I have the
exact same model so it made this even better as I followed your video to
    fix my tv. Thanks again!!

  11. you did good but you are stupid on your film mins 14:15 you dont have to
take off the scruss just leave it there by the fan remove the scruss off
and switch the chip fast…. you are not smart.

  12. Thanks for the video, the ShopJimmy tutorial didn’t help me much compared
to your. My WD 73835 Oct 2008 is similar to your TV’s internal. I followed
your video, but unfortunately it didn’t work smoothly for me. I google for
help on red light status; I got error code 44 by holding down menu & input
on the TV. It turn out my DVI cable connection wasn’t secure, I opened the
TV more 3 times to secure the DVI. I think I broke one bottom plate screw
by tighten it to rough. I prayed to God that I didn’t wreck my TV as I plug
in the power cord. The green light status blink rapidly & stop. I turn on
the TV & it work flawlessly without any white dots. Thank you sir, I think
I save several hundreds on repair. PS F**k Mitsubishi, I will never ever
buy or recommend Mitsubishi TV to anybody I know

  13. Great Video. Followed it to the letter and now my TV works perfectly.
Thanks for your video. Hey, now my wife thinks I’m cool!!! For now
    anyway. lol

  14. @ Nancy Lund: This is exactly what just happened to us. Can’t wait to hear
comments. We took everything apart again and noticed a ribbon cable was
torn from it’s base (it connects to the board). Not sure if that was the
initial problem, but now we’re searching for exactly what we need to
    replace.

  17. Finally I got my tv to work but now I see couple of spots like couple of
clouds. What could cause that issue? Thanks!

  18. Mitsubishi WD 65735 just replaced power supply card thinking that was the
problem. Had a power surge during lightning storm, tv powered off. No
lights in the front when pressing on / off switch. When i plug in to wall i
hear PS click, when i press the reset switch i hear clicking or cycling.
Nothing on the front lights up like when you have the bulb light alarm.
Wanted to buy the ps card from you but was out of stock. We had the white
dot dlp mirror chip problem before the power down, so want to resolve the
power up issue then move to the chip if cost allow. Any pointers to resolve
the power issue ? Thanks your channel is great.Monty

  19. I have a 42 Samsung plasma model PN42C450B1DXZA it does not work with the
remote controller I turn on with my finger and it works but it
keeps changing channels by itself I do not know what I need to get so l can
    fix it

  20. Thank you for these instructions! Here is my experience with the Mitsubishi
    WD-65835.

After trial and error, I found no need to remove the lens shroud on my
model, but it was still necessary to remove the entire light engine for the
purpose of unplugging 3 cables. On my model, removal of the light engine
was not as easy as the one in the video. I had to disconnect the plugs to
the circuit board by the lamp to free the long wires running the length of
the engine to free it from the case of the television.

Another anomaly of my model was the presence of a Dvi-d plug with attaching
screws to the plate. This needed to be removed, followed by the removal of
the nuts next to the female socket in order to remove the plate.

Once there, my model was nearly identical to the one shown in the video,
just placed slightly differently, and minus the one screw after the removal
    of the heatsink.

This tutorial video proved invaluable to me as a guide for my self-repair
job on my DLP tv. So glad you guys were there to help me diagnose the
    problem I was having.

    Thank you!

  21. Need help have a samsung DLP HL-R5067W and the picture freezes and stops
and the ports switchs and goes back to the HDMI Port please help

  22. Thank y’all very helpful information nice step by step had my tv in the
corner for three years. Then came across this video ordered the chip and TV
    works just like day one.

  23. Purchased DLP chip from Shop Jimmy on Dec.13, part arrived on Dec17,I have
a 5yr old 55inch Mitsubishi,White dots had consumed almost the entire
screen.Local repairman wanted to charge me 350.00 to put the part in.
Decided to take my time an put the chip in myself. Thanks to the very
informative Shop Jimmy Video, I was able to change the chip in no time at
all.Screen now looks as good as it did when i purchased it. I’m definatley
    one satisfied customer

  24. Could you please provide me a link to the correct DLP chip that I need for
my thousands of white dots… I have already replaced the part that makes
everything green, and now this, and I have only had the tv for 3 yrs…
Thank you so much for your time.. Samsung Model# HLT5687SX/XAA Version:
RE01. (Is this TV going to be having these recurring problems because if
so, when I fix it, I am going to sell it…lol.Once again, thanks for your
    time… Have a blessed day..

  25. When replacing DLP chip should I use a quality thermal paste? I have
watched a few video’s on chip replacement and none have used any paste
    before replacing heat sync.

  26. i have a WD65737 and lost connectivity to my hdmis recently so i reset all
the inputs and tried updateing the tv with the latest firmware 11.03 the
instructions said to wait 5 mins and the confirmation would come threw but
that if after 5 mins it didnt to unplug the tv from the wall and plug it
back in and try again. well it didnt update the firmware in 5mins so i
followed what they said to do. the problem im having now is when i did
that, the green light blinks and the blue screen comes on but the green
light never stops blinking. ive heard that if you pull the fc connector
from the fmt board, and plug the tv in and wait for about a minute it
should resolve the problem unless you have a power ourtage and the tv goes
back off and you have to do it again. So after all that my question is will
this work and if so where is the Fc connector that i need to disconnect,
what color wires does it have, and im guessing my fmt board is part of my
    chassis. thanks in advance

  27. Which of the videos (you have several) is the one for Toshiba 65HM167 to
replace the defective DLP chip? Is the Toshiba any harder then the other
    brands to do?
Also, will this be a recurring problem or will this fix it for good?

  28. I have a Mitsubishi Model # WD-65C8 Made January 2009. I now have a mixture
of over 100+ Black and White dots covering the screen. If I am
understanding these videos correctly, my problem can be cured by replacing
    the DLP Chip?

Can you please tell me which DLP chip replacement model # I will need?

  29. Thanks for the info but had already tried that stuff. It ended up being an
hdmi chip that caused the whole board to not respond.

  30. I did all this and now my TV won’t turn it just makes the sound of turning
on . And then there is one green and red light that keeps flashing what did
    I do wrong?

  31. Thanks for a great tutorial. I replaced my DLP chip and my TV is brand new
again. So easy to do I just follow the instructions on this video and
    that’s it Thanks again.
